Nico is a life long alabama fan, Kirkpatrick and Jerrell Harris were teamates and best friends at Gadsden City High, and McCarron was the QB for the St. Pauls trio that signed with us this year

The bad thing about one thread is, if one has to read all the way through, then one tends to get bored and move on. I would suggest making new threads as you go along and linking this thread in your sig.
As far as recruiting goes in '09, I am an "ultimate ticket" subscriber (rivals.com) and I am here to tell you; the Tide staff is working tirelessly!
As far as recruiting goes:
I think Bama having the #1 recruiting class this year had a lot to do with the fact that we had a considerable amount of in-state talent. With that being said, next year we may only be #2! LOL....
My point is: Alabama has won the state of Alabama. In our 2008 recruiting class we have guys from TN, WV, TEXASS, FL, LA, GA, VA, MS.... And last but certainly not least, we have commits from the great state of Alabama.
A HELL of a lot of talent came from right here where we breathe the air. Saban has put a fence around in-state talent. Tubbs is shitting buttets! I promise!
We have taken back the state as we promised on Saban's arrival! It's only a matter of time until Auburn fears November once again!

P.S.
An NCAA team can only have 85 total schollarships. Alabama has exceeded that number. We also had a top 10 recruiting class last year and numero uno this year. In addition to that we have 9 starters returning on D and six on O.
With the new talent we have and Saban's insistence on no depth chart, some (new) guys will impact us immediately. Quite simply:
We'll give the SEC all it can handle and will win the west. In '09, The Tide will burn this MF down!

Trix - Sorry for the late response, but I'd never have seen it except for other circumstances. I must admit with my involvement in computer communications, I never did learn all the ctrl-??? features. Thanks much!!

2009 NC Star Terry Shankle
On Wednesday, Shankle received his third offer - this one from the University of Alabama in the form of a telephone call from Tide Coach Nick Saban.
"Coach Saban told me they are going to play their freshmen and they are going to play them often," said Shankle, who stands 6-foot, 170 pounds. "He told me they weren't happy with their talent in the secondary last season, and that they wanted to get better there in a hurry. He told me if I came to Alabama I would have a chance to immediately get in the mix."
With 15 interceptions in one season, apparently opposing offenses didn't get the message to stay away from the shifty athlete.
"Teams stopped throwing my direction by midseason when I was at cornerback," said Shankle. "Then they moved me to safety and I just picked up where I left off because they didn't have a choice. I had three interceptions in one playoff game."
Shankle also stars on offense for his South Stanly High School squad, but most teams are recruiting him for the secondary.
"I also have offers from North Carolina and North Carolina State," said Shankle. "I liked Florida and Clemson growing up, but I am open to everyone. Alabama definitely has a chance with me because I like the reputation Coach Saban has with defensive backs.
"They want me to come up to visit on March 8 so I will probably make that. I am also going to Clemson this weekend. I will go to North Carolina State soon as well."
Shankle indicated that he has an aunt that lives in Alabama but has never visited Tuscaloosa.
"I am in no hurry to make a decision," said Shankle. "I mean, things are just heating up for me in recruiting. I am going to attend some camps and show my skills this spring and see what rolls in."

"Tide in top 5 for Rivals100 speedster"
Things are finally starting to slow down for Chesapeake (Va.) Great Bridge junior wide receiver Logan Heastie, the nation's #22 overall player. He is 6'2, 181 lbs and runs a 4.3 40.
"Florida, Boston College and West Virginia, Then you have Alabama coming in at No. 4, and Tennessee at No. 5. But I'm still wide open. I would like to head south."
