Jeter lined an early go-ahead double off All-Star Scott Kazmir, then made a stellar, spinning play in the seventh inning that preserved a two-run lead and prompted a sellout crowd to chant his name. Pettitte needed little other help in pitching eight sharp innings.
I guess he has no range right? Did you see that play in the 7th? Sure looked like a guy who has no range. HA HA HA
Plus the big 2 out double to put them up 2-0. So I guess he is still not a clutch hitter too right?
Nobody cares. It's not even a debate of whether or not he's good defensively, the debate is whether or not he's terrible or bad. BTW, according to one of the most highly regarded defensive systems, Jeter ranked as the most ineffective defensive players in all of baseball last year.

Hate to break it to you, but there is no such thing as a "clutch" AB early in a regular season game before the all-star break. And, in reality, there is no such thing as a "clutch" player.
SS's get so many chances at those kind of plays, of course anyone will make a great play now and then. Lugo made an awesome play monday night . So what? Jeter is still average at best at short.
I dont recall anyone saying he isnt still pretty clutch at the plate. Why are Yankee fans soooo insecure about what people think of Jeter? Nobody cares but you guys. Seriously.
Sorry to tell Mjsb, but this was a clutch game vs the division leaders. I used clutch because all you haters say how he isn't a clutch player. I know you made those posts as well.
