Rampage won rounds 1, 3 and 4 and maybe even 5. Rampage was gracious in his lost but if he watches the fight again, he will be pissed. A few leg kicks and laying on top of your opponent in the 2nd, inflicting no damage, dose not constitue a victory.

just b/c the announcer said that rampage was landing bombs does not mean he was..forrest dominated the fight and was in control the whole time..rampage had him really hurt one time and that was the first round..forrest did land some good punches and alos had him submitted..you might want to watch the fight again

the announcer had forrest winning with leg kicks and a few attempts at weak submissions, listen to the commentary again.
Look at Forrest face and tell me punches were landing, see how he backed up when he was hit.

At best, rampage would have tied, as round two definitely was 8-10 in Forrest's favor. Rampage got in some solid punches in round 5, but he did too much running away from forrest so I saw that round going to forrest as well. Round one could have went either way. Rampage definitely won rounds 3 and 4 in my opinion though.
I was surprised by unanimous decision, i figured there would have been at least one or two 47-47s, but I knew Forrest would win the split if it came down to it.

I go with hard punches that split the face and make your competitor back up over leg kicks. Sure FG won round two, but I cant give it a 10-8 because no damage was inflicted while they were on the ground. A few weak submission attempts, but no ground and pound, no real hard punches, forearms or elbows were landed. Good enough to win the round but not 10-8 for me.

I said it three months ago when they announced this fight, if it goes to a decision, it goes to forrest. Stand those two guys side by side right now, look at their faces and you tell me who got beat up.
Two judges had that fight 4-1 forrest. That's brutal.
I don't know how you can say round 1 goes either way - only one person got staggered, and then knocked down and almost out.
I don't see how you can score the second 10-8 becuase, beside the leg kick - which was nasty - he didn't hurt him at all on the ground. Plus if you score the 2nd 10-8, you have to score the first 10-8 for the knockdown.
I thought 3-5 were closer, but, again, look at forrests face, and its clear to see who did more damage.
I could maybe handle a split decision 3-2 across the board, but 4-1 is just not right.
I like both guys, and didn't really care who one, but a lopsided unanimous decision takes credibility away from the sport - ALA Bisping Hammil.
Keep it up UFC, you will be boxing before you know it.

I was pulling for rampage, but I still had to give him a 8-10 in round 2. Rampage didn't do anything except recover/save energy for the entire round. Forest didn't inflict much damage, but he stayed active, unlike rampage. An 8 doesn't necessarily mean that you got your arse kicked really bad, it just means that you didn't do anything.
