Lol, another 90 year old in our starting line-up.  I swear, we should change our name to the Montreal Mets or the NY Expos.  Nice job Omar!

well i agree that it is ridiculous that we have a slob like armas pitching for us, but he is not 90 years old he is more like 29 or 30...

Lol rad, I might have spoke too soon.  He stands to get the win tonight and didn't pitch that bad after he settled down.  But we hit tonight, when we hit, we win!

He did scare me in the beginning cuz there were a LOT of hard hit balls by the Cardinals.  However I liked how he stayed in the strike zone and was going to make the cards beat them with the bat.  He also was able to keep his fastballs around the corners even down in the count.

yeah 8 hits in 6 innings of work is a little tough to deal with on a weekly basis but i will deff take the win. Too bad the Braves couldn't beat the Phillies

Pitching depth in the minors is always journeymen players I feel.  If you need a pitcher because of injury, or because one of your guys isn't performing (cough cough - Brett Meyers - cough), I'd much rather have a guy with some experience than a wet behind the ears youngster.  Armas is nobody's permanent solution, but this is exactly the role they signed him for (and vargas, and Figueroa), a 1-2 start stint as a fill in, not a regular.
