Looking at the schedule 8 or 9 is what I believe we will get. We could get more if Marve is money and the freshman can gel.I believe it can't get worse then last year, 6 loses its the absoulute worse case scenario this year. Here is the schedule w=win l=lose *= it can go both ways

Charleston southern-w

At Florida-L/*

At Texas A&m-*

Nc-W

FSu-*

UCF-W

At Duke-W

Wake-*

At Virginia-W

V-tech-L

At G-tech-w

At Nc state-W

6-2-3 or 6-1-4

The season will come down to Florida, texas am,wake forest,FSU,and V-tech if we have a winning record vs those team the season will be a triumph for us and pave the way for the 09 national championship another losing season or 500. Campaign puts Shannon right on the hot seat.Did you forget this is Miami, the worst fans in the world. I believe we do have a chance for a title this year but its gona be hard to do with Uf,Tex a&m,nc,and Fsu in a 4 game span to start the year if we come out of that gauntlet we are top 10 and on the way to a title. It can be done look at the succes Ou had with Sam Bradford a redshirt freshman at the helm, everything is squarly on Marves young shoulders. V-tech is not that great nor is north carolina luckily the coastal is weak this year so we could steal a trip to Jacksonville with the november 13th home game against the hokies. What do you think cane nation, "Its still great to be a miami hurricane".

I think 6 wins might be considered to be a success for this year.  It could easily be worse, but then again, it might also be better.  So, I'll stick with 6 wins.

If this turns out to be correct, I would hope that Shannon is not on "the hot seat" at least until after the 2009-2010 season!  He needs to have several years of his players in his system to really reveal where this program is going.  I do not expect that this team will be playing for titles for at least 3 years.

I hope I am wrong and it all happens sooner, especially starting with game 2 this year!

Ill say the Canes beat:

Char. Southern, UNC, UCF, Duke, G Tech, and NC St.

So I'll say 6 wins.

It's going to be a tough season for the Canes.  With a red shirt frosh starting at qb and maybe the toughest conference in the nation I'd say 7...However, if some things go the Canes way I could see 8 or 9...But that might be a stretch this year.  You've gotta like the future though!
