What is Marks best feature on the Braves team?

I'd probably say his defense. There's no telling how many balls that would've gotten past someone like Scott Thorman that he's gotten to. He's probably one of the major reasons the Braves lead the NL in ERA.

Now, his presence in the lineup and his run production are all major features to him. But I've got to hand it to the defense. He definitely is a perennial Gold Glove winner.

Thats what I picked and what lead me to do this poll, in to see how many fans think his D is darn solid. Maybe dangerranger can find a stat to see just how many balls have made it by him since joining the Braves last year.....I would say very few.

Go Braves!

Ditto.

The defense because in the game today he was walked intentionally twice-- the bat taken out of his hands.

More than one person is gonna have to carry this team. First Chipper now Mark are hot and nobody else is stepping up!

The defense is solid but I have to go with the HR production.  I think that is why the Braves went after him last year.

Home Runs and RBI were no doubt the reason the Braves made the move last year.Tex has always been one of those few run producing machines every lineup wants.

The defence at 1st is a huge bonus though. I must admit I didn't know he was that good on D when we traded for him. The boxscores don't show how many doubles to right he has turned into outs. Or how many errors he has saved the other infielders with his digs. 1B defence is often overlooked with the emphasis on middle infield, catcher and centerfield. He reminds me of Fred McGriff , J T Snow or Mark Grace with his glove work.
