Derrick Rose isn't even scheduled to meet with the Miami Heat prior to the NBA Draft, giving every indication that the Bulls have come to a decision and will select Rose with the No. 1 pick.

Rose concluded his predraft workout with the Bulls on Thursday, with his brother/advisor saying "[Chicago] is our last stop." Rose sounds as if it's a done deal. ''I hope the Bulls pick me,'' he said. ``I thought LeBron James was the luckiest guy in the world playing for his home state. Now I get that chance.'' Look for the Heat to take Michael Beasley with the No. 2 pick. Jun. 19 - 4:03 pm et My Source: http://www.miamiherald.com/594/stor

Let the celebration begin.  I haven't been this excited for the start of a season since...,  well ever...  Let's just hope he stays away from Motorcycles...  Go Bulls!  Krik Hinrich anybody?

Imagine if they draft Derrick Rose then on July 1st sign Gilbert Arenas?!  We'll be taking the bus to the Promise Land! We hve a bright future and if we can sign or trade for a solid PF/C then we will be on our way!

If that's true, than great!  However, there is still a week left before the draft. Also has Derrick Rose refused a workout for the Miami Heat?  Or have the Heat shockingly not set up a workout for the 6'2 PG out of Memphis. The Bulls are said to be bringing both Beasley and Rose back in again next week for another look with each of them.  Something tells me the Miami Heat will get Derrick Rose in for a workout-wherever that may be. If it means the Heat Staff having to travel to Chicago, I'm sure they'll be on the next flight.  Also, maybe Rose already worked out privately for the Heat and it was not made public or even known to the Press.

I hope you are right, jball, but listening to Paxon speak on the issue, I get the feeling they may take Beasley. I'll just keep my fingers crossed until I can be sure that Rose will be a Bull.

#1 pick in the draft!  How sweet it is.  Neither Rose or Beasley would be a bad pick.  I think they will both be stars.  Miami has to be happy with whoever falls to them.

I got a funny feeling about this draft.  I'm preparing myself to hear beasley's name called.  If so, I think we have to trade Deng and play Beasley at the three.  Even though Beasley may be the better player statically, I just think Rose will bring out the best in Loul Deng, Tryus Thomas, Drew Gooden, Joakim Noah, Aaron Gray, Ben Gordon, Noci and the rest of the guys.  This is the reason why I want them to take Rose.  Adding Beasley would just add another selfish player.  I just don't think there is enough shots to split up between Beasley, Gordon, and Gooden honestly.  Can Beasley and Gordon co-exist? What about Noci?  Rose is the best opinion for this team.
