The Georgia pitcher clearly swore at the umpire and neither Oral Hershier or the other commentator noticed that he did! My roomate and I were shocked we even rewound the game to see it and he clearly swore at the umpire. I wonder how the umpire and commentators did not see that!
That expression gets lobbed at umps at least a dozen times a game. Most players are just smart enough to make sure they aren't in the umps face when they say it, and most umps don't try to look for it. Unless you do it in a way that makes it clear the ump saw you, you aren't going to get called for it. It's don't ask, don't tell.
