	Early diagnosis are that it is a heart attack. I must say, I admired this guys interviewing style. He had an inate ability to get exactly what he wanted out of an interview while the person being interviewed was just smiling away. He had the ability to ask tough questions and come off as friendly.

	He viewed each person with the same authority and always asked the hardest questions with no bias to democrats or republicans. Quite a great guy. This is really sad.

	Well said, Pack. I can't imagine what the election of 2008 coverage will be like now. Tim Russert WAS the man! Watching NBC news tonight, I don't know how Brian Williams, Tom Brokaw, Andrea Mitchell, and David Gregory kept their composure as well as they did.

	He viewed each person with the same authority and always asked the hardest questions with no bias to democrats or republicans. Quite a great guy. This is really sad. Great point, gonzagafan. I think it is a testament to his professionalism that I had to look up Russert's political past because I did not know, until after his death, which party he affiliated himself with during his political days.

	He had a tough and fair style. By tough I mean not affraid to ask hard questions. He was unbiased. He will be missed.

	Tim Russert, what a guy. I loved his style, he was such a wonderful man and will truly be missed. He was a giant in his field and his passing makes me so very sad. I loved his style, I loved his smile.
