Hey ESPN, do us a favor and show some golf. You would show Tiger and Phil then talk until they hit again. How many people do you have reporting from the driving range? By the way, we know Phil doesn't have a driver in his bag. You told us 100 times.

I agree 100%!!!!!!!!

Will someone tell these guys to just shut up already!   NBC has it all over ESPN.  We want to watch golf not hear these guys analyze, analyze, analyze!!!   And who thought it was a good idea to put Berman on - what a doofus!

"oh my, lets keep an eye on Tiger's left knee."  "boy that rough is thick."  "tiger is trying to break Jack's record of 18 major wins."   over and over and over and over and over. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

They must think were idiots!

I'm just happy we finally get to see this Tiger fellow we have heard so much about. He looks like he has lots of promise, but if they are already talking about an injury there is no way he can do well.

In all seriousness, people who follow golf know all the stories about Tiger and Phil. ESPN brought nothing new to the table. For those who don't follow golf, and are tuning in for the first time or one of the first times, they also know all the stories of Tiger and Phil. I think it's great to watch these two, but between their shots I would also like to see someone else hit. The choice between watching Phil stand and hear Berman talk, or watch Rich Beem drive is an easy one. Get Boomer back to football where he is good at it.

I agree with all of you.  That was as bad as I have seen in regards to coverage.  People always complain about how much Tiger is shown, and I try to stand up for Tiger because of how phenomonal he is.  But that was crazy.  They were analyzing how he was eating a banana.  Jeez.

And Bermann, wow.  That guy needs to go away.  Why dont they just put Dick Vitale up there.  Like frickin nails on a chalk board. that was.

The 'major' flaw with the glamour, star-studded pairings. A complete lack of appreciation for other golfers who may be playing well. The same can be said for weekend coverage; all anyone ever gets is the 6 or 8 players on the leaderboard or even worse, the 'star' player who is doing nothing while the 'lesser known' playing partner is kicking butt.

I agree with what everyone has said. There was way too much Tiger and a quite a bit of Phil. But, (I can't believe I am saying this) I think they are trying to keep the average sports fan interested, not the golf junkies. I am pretty sure that most hardcore golf fans will watch regardless of crappy coverage, but they need to keep the "I-only-watch-the-majors-and-only-pl
ay-in-scrambles" golfers tuned in. Just my attempt at justification for the poor coverage....take it or leave it.

Berman needs to go though....holy crap that was hard to listen to. Thank god for the mute button.
