I want Pendleton.Oh me too, what with the wonderful work he's done with Jeff Francoeur this season...
And Blaine Boyer? Why does Bobby pitch him every game in a tight situation. Then ... he blows it.And by every game, you mean two times, otherwise converting 9 holds on the season, making him one of the top 25 in the majors in that category, you'd be right. If you're sticking to "every time he blows it" you have a problem, hopefully long-term memory. Hey, forgetting stuff is better than being incapable of analysis.
Bad managing, and, like usual ... not playing like there's no tomorrow. What the heck are you talking about? Bobby Cox' biggest fault is that he does play like there's no tomorrow. I would love if he thought about the future in games, but instead he's not afraid to trot out every reliever we've got if he feels like it.
Maybe our highest paid player (Mike "tender foot" Hampton) can go to work for the first time in three years. I mean what a freaking gutless chump. No heart whatsoever.Right, because that's what he needs - more heart. The guy has bounced through countless surgeries and rehabs and he's still trying to pitch. Gutless wonder, right? I'm not sure if you're suggesting he retire (because THATS not cowardly) or he try to pitch when he physically can't help the team. Either way, it's not a particularly smart sentiment. The dude doesn't need more heart. He needs health. When baseball fans talk about "heart' is when they're at their funniest. This is a prime example. Exactly how much "Heart Power" is required to magically reconstruct an ulnar collateral ligament? If you could let us all know, I think we could save some ballplayers a lot of money that would otherwise be spent on Tommy John surgery.
