Can the Aztecs possibly go 6-6 this season?

Wins against Cal Poly, Idaho, & San Jose St. in the non-conference schedule. Then go 3-5 in conference just as they did in 2007 & we're there.
Colorado State, New Mexico, UNLV, Wyoming...all winnable as we won 3 & gave away the NM game with a fumble in the final seconds last year. As usual, we'll probably give away one we should win so I am hesitant to mention us going 7-5 in 2008.
This assumes losses against BYU, TCU, Air Force & Utah...but with an improved D, I think we have a shot to take Air Force at home.
Even with all the youth on offense, 6-6 is not only possible, it should be expected. Then with some experience on both sides of the ball, we can start talking about 7 or 8 wins in 2009...either that or we start talking about another coaching change.

i predict 7-5 or 6-6
Wins for sure Cal Poly, Idaho, San Jose State, Unlv, Colorada State,Wyoming
Im not sure about: New Mexico they haad a surprising good season last year think they will have 5to 6 wins this year i think we will win a close one
Loses Tcu, Byu, Utah, Notre Dame
At-least 6 wins probably 7 and a bowl game i predict and would love to see the young aztects have this kind of success

The defense is going to need to improve and youngsters will have to step up. There is promise here with nice recruits like Burris, Yarburough and BJ Williams pushing for playing time.
Offense has some questions at Line and QB. The running backs are going to be adequate and the receivers are the strength of the unit. In years past great players like Marshall Faulk, Darnay Scott, Larry Ned, George Jones, Billy Blanton, Adam Hall and many others have stepped forward to go from unknowns to stars in just a few games. Ryan Lindley, Darren Mougey, Demarco Sampson, Davon Brown, Vincent Brown and Brandon Sullivan all have star potential, but that is contingent on some JC transfers on the Offensive Line.
If the O-Line comes together 6-6 is possible. New Mexico and Air Force are the swing games on the schedule.

6 and 6 is possible but very tough, considering the lack in confidence at the QB position

i sure do hope so...but, the offense is where i think we have to look, when hoping to acheive it...i like Chuck Long, and he has got the defense looking like it can play...a young offense will be the key...
