Reportidly, Jason Taylor has asked for a trade...and this time the Dolphins aren't so up tight with keeping him. They've all but said they don't want him anymore. I think he's just pissed them off enough so they will let him go.

So, what does Packer nation think?
Trade for him?
Stay back?

Whatcha think?

We would have to get him really cheap. Favre is gone so theres no reason to get older now but if he is a bargain like a fourth or fifth than we should make the switch. He is more valuable than that so this won't happen. Oh well we have a rookie in Jeremy Thompson that can hopefully improve the group.

I say get him he still is very good and has just been on a bad team. But we all know TT won't bring any free angents in unless they play for next to nothing. So I would say there is about a 1% chance this would happen.

I agree with  packman30...

TT wont think twice about trading for him.  I also personally dont think with need Taylor.  If no serious injuries insue i believe the Packers are set with DE's Kampman, Jenkins, KGB, Mongomery and new draftee Jeremy Thompson

TT wont even think about making this trade..hes satisfied with having KGB and Kampman-- besides if he was going to pick up a free agent he'd pick up someone who could strengthen our weaknesses.. mabey like a CB / S , TE or OL .....

I dont know about that, especially since KGB is making over 6 million this year, and Jason Taylor makes right over 7 million.  Jason Taylor is an every down DE, where KGB is purely a pass rusher.  This way, we can have Taylor and Kampman coming off the edges, move Jenkins back to the pass rushing DT we need since Williams has been traded and Harrel is having the back issues.  You cannot say that is not a perfect scenario.  Whether it will happen, I doubt it but we can make the BLOCKBUSTER trade like the Vikings to shut them the hell up about DD Allen and trade KGB, and pick like 4th or 5th and get 2-3 good years out of Taylor before he moves on to Hollywood!

packfan had the same idea as me but i dont think it would work salary cap wise....kgb makes almost 9 million this year(ridiculous for a 3rd down specialist) ....if we could find a way where we could pay a large portion of kgb's contract this year and restructure taylors contract so he would be making more this year and less the next couple it could work....the Dolphins are close to the cap limit and we need to reach the minimum....the dolphins might be willing to consider a trade like this if we can help them out cap wise, give them a younger pass rusher and a mid round pick

Why not trade KGB and a 3rd round pick for Jason Taylor??? KGB deserves to be a starting DE in the NFL, and as a packerfan I hate him wasting his career on our roster while he waits for 3rd down. KGB could be the veteran D-lineman that Miami needs and would help benefit a trade to GB!

I say pull the trigger TT. Taylor is a guy that will have to be accounted for every time he is on the field, and thus will make every one around him better. He may be old but he is still productive and with GB's depth will not be asked to play every down. Jenkins has always been dangerous rushing from the tackle position and Taylor is a huge upgrade over KGB IMO. I say sign him and set KGB free, your are only getting 2-3 years out of either of them so why not give the money to Taylor?
