Marion Barber signed a long term deal.

I was hoping Marion Barber was going to be a FA next year so maybe TT would make a big signing (like he does once in a blue moon) and sign Barber.

Imagine that Grant and Barber splitting carries. Ryan Grant as our speed back and Marion Barber as our bruiser (power back) that would be insane. And most likely unstopable.

I highly doubt TT would have signed him anyway lol. I was gettting my hopes up.

Ahh man I wish.

If Barber was going to be a FA. If he didn't sign that deal. How would you guys feel about signing him and being on the team.

i'm not sure i understand.  i was saying nice things about Marion Barber.

And you may not remember.....but i am a huge fan of Aaron Rodgers.  and have always had good things to say about him.  what exactly is your beef?  am i not doing it right?   is there a standard you would like me to abide by?

i think you are overreacting to the recent squabbles i have had with some of the more undesirable Packer fans.  the loose cannons that are looking to argue with me.  further research would yield more of my friendlier posts.

the answer to your question is yes

yeah MBIII is a good player....it would have been cool to have him on the Packers i doubt it would have happened anyway.... JMIGS i agree he is also one of my fav players not on the packers roster...

that being said im not sure he deserved the contract that he just got....it makes him one of the highest payed RB's in the league...and he has never been the featured back...

but the main prob i have is that it was a 7 year contract...that would make him 32 in the last year of the deal.

he will be 25 when the season starts...so he is still relatively young but he also has a very punishing running style , for himself as well as the defensive players...this being the case he will probably have a shorter career that other RB's his age....but who knows maybe not....

it just seems like a very long contract and alot of money for a guy that is good, maybe really good but not great.

It's just weird how much this team stresses it wants to run the football... our drafts indicate otherwise.

Wide Receivers

06: Greg Jennings, Cory Rodgers
07: James Jones, David Clowney
08: Jordy Nelson, Jermichael Finley (sort of), Brett Swain

Running Backs

07: Brandon Jackson, DeShawn Wynn

McCarthy has said often that he wants the Packers to be a smash mouth football team, but he's talking a lot of nonsense. By drafting good receivers every year, this team will still be a passing team.  The Packers will average more yards rushing per game, than they did last year, only because Aaron Rodgers will run with the ball more than Brett would.

packersgal, are you saying there are no undesirables?  Cause i can give you a list of names that are posers and bandwagon fans and would like nothing more than the Rodgers "era" to be a failure.  give ME a break
