Who is the best HB in the NFL right now?  Take into account offensive weapons around them, shared carries, injuries, offensive lines, etc. Just remember I'm not asking who will do best next year, I'm asking who is better.

lol @ Adrian Peterson being on the list. The guy had one good year i doubt he is the best but i give him credit for putting up the numbers he did for his rookie season. If he kept that up then no doubt about it he would be the best but its a no doubt about it that its LT. I wouldn't argue for Brain Westbrook either.

this should seriously be the easiest question you could possibly ask about football.....there is no way you can answer it any other way than LT.....no one is even close.....you would have to be a huge homer to even joke that anyone else is even close.....please Vikings fans don't say its AD because i don't really feel like proving how ridiculous that opinion would be...

I agree...its definitly L.T ..if Viking fans say Peterson...i'll throw up....Every year Tomlinson has put up 1,300 yards ( or more ) and 10+ TD's....

Tomlinson's career stats...10,650 yds & 115 TD's

Look at his stats compared To  the All time  Rushing Leader Emmit Smith

Emmit Smith - 18,355 yards / 164 TDs ( 14 year career )

LT is only in his  7th year  and hes already close to total yards ( only needing 7,750 yds ) and is 49 yds from tying him as far as Touchdowns....

** this is all considering LT stays healthy for the remainder of his career.....

i wouldnt be suprised ( if he stay's healthy ) that he blows away Smiths career Numbers.....now if he can only get that elusive SB Ring...

I agree LT, but Barber could have a big time year with Julius Jones gone.  With a better offense around them Gore and LJ could also have good years, not very likely for Larry Johnson though.  Steven Jackson should have a bounce back year if he stays healthy.  When its all said and done Peterson might turn out to be the best with as much as he should get the ball (hoping not though).

You really can't pick anyone but LaDainian Tomlinson. Unless your a Vikings fan, then you pick Adrian Peterson.

Tomlinson has been one of the most productive backs (if the THE most productive back) each of his seasons in the NFL.  He doesn't have injury problems (except for the playoffs last season).  And he is a complete back : can run, catch, block, and even pass.

You have give Peterson a few more seasons before you can compare him to Tomlinson.

I think the only other back from the list you can make an argument for is Brian Westbrook because of what he means to the Eagles offense.  But I'd rather have Tomlinson.

I saw an interview on Sportscenter recently where LT said he may not play for 5 more years.  Even in he played 7 more seasons to equal Emmit's 14, it would be tough for him to keep his production up and get the rushing record.  I'm not saying it can't be done, but I don't think he will stay long enough.  Just my opinion.  I really shouldn't have put AP on the poll, I should have remembered how many Viking fans are on our boards...

At least the Vikings fans haven't been posting, trying to convince us that Adrian Peterson is the second coming of Christ.
