Branden Albert

Hi Cavaliers fans. I was hoping some Virginia fans could tell me something about Branden Albert. He is by far the best guard in the draft. The Chiefs took him in the first round and I have read many places that the Chiefs are putting him at Left Tackle, even Herm Edwards said this. My question is, who did the Cavaliers have playing Left Tackle last season? "Willie Roaf's son?". How can Albert not beat out the guy who played left tackle for you last season. I don't understand how you can be a collage guard, and moved to left tackle in the pros. Either Herm Edwards is nuts, or the Cavaliers wasted him at guard, no? Any insight?

Ditto from above.  Eugene Monroe is already being talked about as a top 10 pick in next years draft.  He was the #2 ranked high school offensive player when he signed with UVA as a left tackle, hence the nickname, Man Mountain Monroe.

Branden worked much better for us as a guard because he was more of a thinker.  He did alot of pulling on running plays (Cedric Peerman was leading the ACC in rushing before he got hurt and Mikell Simpson rushed for 599 yards in the remaining games, due in no small part to Branden Albert)
