Recruits just keep on coming

The Tigers have done it again. They landed another 5 star recruit for the class of 09. Now they have commitments from the 2 top safeties in next years class.

OBTW -  I hear the gamecocks got a commitment from some 1 star tight end from up north somewhere. Way to go gcocks.

I heard they had to give him the star so they could beat out Hofstra for his services....shabang!

yeah the recruiting are going crazy at clemson, i bet we will get maybe more than five 5-star prospect to clemson next year.

I'll second that!  I'm a newcomer as well, FTP.  Starting up grad school this fall, and the time isn't passing by quick enough.  First time I stepped on campus to check the place out, I knew it would be my new home.  Go Tigers!  Those awesome recruiting classes will be paying off soon, and I can see an ACC championship coming within the next 3 years.

On a side note, anyone else think Boston College needs to go back to the Big East?  I'm not saying this because of Clemson's recent struggles with BC, but more of the fact that the school is in MASSACHUSETTS.  Kick BC out, and replace them with a school with better proximity to the other ACC schools (possibly a mid-major who is overdue for a chance in the BCS?).

I certainly think that would be a well accepted comp, a team like Ga Southern or App St perhaps.....

In defense of the Eagles though, I do think that the geographic area that is New England is ripe for the picking in recruits that would be less than attainable without this new tie to the northeast by the ACC . It might just be ok to swap them to the Coastal Div. with us getting Georgia Tech. Then of course we would need a brand new team as our "play every year Coastal member", to take the Yellow Jackets place in that designation. Most assuredly we would end up flipping a coin over Duke and BC and- HEADS,the Eagles would be right back in the house.

These things are better handled by someone willing to do the dirty-work.

Add to it that Clemson will almost certainly have no trouble beating the less-than-Matt Eagles of BC, this year or next.
