At this point, letting him out of his LOI only helps another program while guaranteeing a hole in your lineup. I would hope that Emmanuel would take a few moments to sit back and recognize that Arizona is STILL the best place for him, show up and join a strong team in making a run at a championship.First, Negedu is NOT coming back to Arizona, regardless of whether he's released from his LOI. Have you read his comments? He's stated that he felt the school and staff "lied" to him, etc... Do you think after the way he's handled this that he could come back and be a productive member of the team even IF he changed his mind? It doesn't matter, because he is NOT coming to UA, and that's guaranteed. So, that being the case, what does holding him to his LOI do? The hole in the lineup (not really, anyway, since Negedu wasn't going to start) is there anyway, so holding him to his LOI ties up a scholly and only prevents him from moving forward, and that's where it could hurt future recruiting. Looking across other boards, the opinion seems to be split - some say let him go, others say don't let him go. Do you not think that some recruits - most, in fact - will be on the side of "let him go"? We may not view holding him to an LOI in a negative light, but you can bet that a lot of recruits will.
