We know T-Will and McGee are gone. With Kuric getting Holloways scholly I'm assuming DC is coming back.  I here he is in summer school and will remain eligable if he passes his summer class and he is also swimming an hour a day to be in top shape in the fall.  That being said, I also think DC and E5 will go.  That makes 4 available in 09 if it goes as I think it will.  Even if Pitino doesn't allow DC back we will still have his scholly for 09.

Now for who we will have in the 09 class.........  We already have commits from Marra and Buckles.  http://louisville.scout.com/a.z?s=17&p=9&cfg=bb&c=4&yr=2009.  And I know The top priority is point guard Peyton Siva who we look very strong with.  If we don't get him we will end up with one of these 2  (Michael Dixon or Junior Cadougan) at the point.  That leaves 1 open spot that will be for either a SF or another PF.  Who would you prefer out of these top candidates???

Deshawn Painter  http://louisville.scout.com/a.z?s=17&p=8&c=1&nid=3143784

Noel Johnson    http://louisville.scout.com/a.z?s=17&p=8&c=1&nid=2431416

Christian Watford  http://louisville.scout.com/a.z?s=17&p=8&c=1&nid=2619371

Stephan Van Treese    http://louisville.scout.com/a.z?s=17&p=8&c=1&nid=2431562

I listed them in my order of preference but we will be in a battle with Florida for Painter.  Any of the 4 will be good gets for 09.

Isaiah Armwood

Xavier Henry

Rumor has it that Isaigh has been spotted wearing Louisville gear??  And Xavier was quoted by his local paper as saying he is torn between Memphis and Louisville last week .  I will find the article and post it once I find it.  But I see us having too much talent I see Clark being done this year baring some kind of miracle to make him want to stay and Twill and Mcgee.  Samuels probably a 2-3 year player Jennings should stay we are stacked pretty deep for the next 2-4 years if we land any more wow maybe a little dynasty we can form here in the ville.

They will sign the 2 Verbals and Silva sounds like he really likes UofL.  Silva sounds like Sosa to me, more of a scorer than point guard, but thats fine.  The 4th will be whoever signs 1st, that's the way big schools recruit, offer 3 or 4 guys and tell them whoever signs 1st gets the scholarship.  Next year E5 is gone, Character (if he comes back) is gone, I also would not be surprised if Samuels or Jennings is 1 and done, UofL is going to start getting more guys leaving early like the other top programs.

Samuels probably a 2-3 year player I'm not so sure about that...  I think he walks after a year, depending on his season.  If he averages a double double like some expect, he's gone.

The only reason I say 2-3 is because of next years Mock draft.  They dont have Samuels any better than 19 in any so far. But it is early and I would not be shocked if he was 1 and done.

OK Villian, with Siva signing I assume we are down to 1 open spot for next year.  Unless Caracter stays for 2?  As for Samuels being 1 and done, the only way that happens is if we win the NT or at least go to the final four.  So I won't be mad either way.

Speaking of Samuels, here's a nice ESPN piece on him, touting the Cards as a FF threat. (Rightly so.)

Fantastic article!!   He seems to be a coaches dream.  Tremendous attitude AND work ethic.  While reading this article, I found myself wondering what DC would be like if he would have grown up in the same place as Samardo, instead of our country, where he was constantly given preferencial treatment.  We'll never know, but I am looking forward to this

years team( with or without DC).

GREAT TIME IN THE VILLE!!!!

Yeah and did anyone notice in Parrish' article about top 10 recruiting classes (UL #5), he mentioned a couple as Final Four threats, but only used the phrase "title contendor" in Louisville's.   It's already a fun season!

Nice to here from you again David.  It can get slow on here during the off season.  I have been spending time on ITV.  Scouts final rankings for the 2008 PF position has Samuels and Jennings #2 and #5!!!  Two of the top Five incoming Frosh to play with E5, that's just crazy.  Returning 4 starters from an Elite 8 team.  We might have to move another NC banner with us to the new Arena!  Do you think McGee and T Will can lead this young and talented front court and take this team to the next level?

Hey DieHard and David..... Hard to get any exciting sports news going this time of the year. And Im not much on the recruiting stuff. I like to read about it, but I always hold my breath until I see em on campus and on the floor. It's nice to read such glowing reports about the Cards and the future potential. Things are looking up.

I do like to follow baseball, and the Cards look to be peaking at the right time. Maybe have a run like they did last year.
My Bosox are doing ok. A no hitter the other night by Lester!

Another dismissal from the football team in Stripling. Da house should be clean now. Unless Jujuan get caught smoking dope again.

Big Brown.... who knows?

Anybody hear anything about DC being in summer school? Thought I read that somewhere.

Later guys!

Im stoked about the SIVA committ I think he will fill our pg confusion when Mcgee leaves.  DC good ridence Thank God this story is over all the damn hype with him he wanted everything handed to him unbelievable!!!!  E5 Samuels Jennings and T-Will WOW it makes your hair on your neck stand up. And if they go to the bench you got Delk Swoopshire Smith Sosa Scott Kuric waiting for there chance.  Its gonna be so exciting the only downfall is DAMN the Big East is Krazy Good this year

Classsy avatar!   Some nerves are starting to creep up as tonight is my sons wedding rehearsal and dinner. I will be the "Master of Ceremonies" at the dinner. Welcoming the guests, acknowledging the brides parents, and making a toast. I have stressed to everyone that we want it to be a night of relaxed fun, so we are going to encourage others to come up and either give a toast or tell a story about Brian or Brittney throughout the dinner.

And get this.... 8 brides maids and 8 groomsmen! 3 Flower Girls and 2 ring bearers. Total crowd tonight of 63 adults and 6 children! Ohhh baby!!!!!!!!!!!

Cards baseball team is finishing strong again this year! Won the BE Championship and will be playing in the Georgia Regional starting tonight at 7:00. Last year they made it to Omaha and the World Series!  They have went like 20-6 the past 4-5 weeks.
