Is it time to start to worry about Mark Buehrle? Im not sure what to make of it yet, he has pitched a couple of good games without getting a win but he has pitched quite a few horrible games. I know its still early but that was the same thing we said in 2006 and he never pitched well the entire year. What is he, is he 2006 or 2007? Was he on, due to a contract year? Im not sure, I like him and they need him to do well to win the division. The strange thing is if anyone would have guessed before the season who was going to have the worst season in the rotation I am pretty sure Buehrle would have come in last in the vote.

It does seem surprising that he has been the worst starter in our rotation this year. When he is hit hard, he is really pounded and it started against the Indians in his first start. It seems to be a trend in his career to follow up a strong season with a season where he constantly struggles. See his stats in 03 after 02 and of course 06 after 05. I thinks his biggest problem is probably mental. If one thing doesn't go his way, an error or close call, he lets that affect him and the floodgates open up for a big inning.

it seems to me like his control is a little off, and with him that's everything. Also, his stuff isn't moving like it used too.....his cutter and change are what make him. He had a great outing vs TOR, when he gave up 2 unearned, and got the loss. I do think if he got a good luck start, that may turn him around. Uribe certainly did not help him any. At least some of the guys are starting to hit, but the middle of the order (Thome and Konerko) is just brutal right now.

I think they need to skip a turn in the rotation with him and just work harder on mechanics for about a week, give a spot start to Nick Masset or Lance Broadway, Mark's too important down the stretch for us to be struggling, can't have another 06.

I would be all for Mark missing a start and let Lance get a game in... He cannot do any worse then Mark has his past two outings. Heck, he might just toss a good one for us and then Kenny will have other things to worry about... LOL....

I looks like Buehrle's location is off. I'm sure that is something that he can fix. If it was a problem with his velocity, or his breaking ball not breaking, I'd be worried, but I think it is just an issue with his control, and I'm confident that he can eventually get that worked out.

Not only his Toronto start but his last game against the Tigers (in Detroit) went his way. But then again we scored 10+ runs in that game.

I don't think I'd hit the panic button yet. Buerhle look decent up to the fifth inning and then the floodgates opened. I agree with many of the posts saying that it is problem with Buerhle locating his pitches, which can be worked out. The pitch Vlad hit the homer (a VERY bad pitch) was out over the plate with nothing on it.

I was at the game last night and what I have noticed about him this year when he walks the lead off batter it seems to get to him mentally. Also, if there are two outs and he gives up a hit the next batter will get on as well. He needs to get it right between the ears. The pitch he threw to Vlad was terrible. I wouldn't panic yet. As for tonite I will be there for Danks to get us back to .500. HAIL HAIL THE White Sox!!!!
