I hate to say it, but Izzy is killing us.  Adam Wainright's last outing, when he had a shutout going until Izzy blew it.  That is bad stuff!  Now we have lost our last 5 out of 6 games.  How will the Cardinals handle this?  Will it keep going in a downward spiral?  Or will they bounce back?

I was thinking the same thing cheef. It is so hard to bounce back when a player blows a few games for you, other players start pressing and next thing you know you lose 5 out of 6.

The Cards will bounce back, they just need to relax and catch there breath. We all know baseball is a marathon and not a sprint. It should be good to get away from the Brewers and play anyone else right now.

GO CARDS!

look at it this was we just came off our longest road trip of the year.  we are only a game out of 1st and we are still tied for the 2nd most wins in MLB.  also we do not have to visit the Brewers anymore this year.  we will get back on track against the Pirates

I think the cards will come back because they have a chance to play in front of the home crowd, this is what they need to come of a bad road trip.  And playing against the Pirates should help.

I agree.  The homestand should allow us to catch our breath.

Next question:

When are the Cardinals going to make a move and trade one of their OF's while they are hot?  We have alot of talented OF's and Colby Rasmus waiting in AAA.

I don't know cheef, I for one am not a big fan of trading OF's right now. I am also the one usually saying crap, we held onto that guy for a little to long. I think if we could get a closer I say go for it, but then again nobody in baseball would trade a closer this early in the season, except of course the Cardinals. I would be interested in what this GM is thinking right now, time to beat up on some young guys from Pittsburgh.

Go Cards!
