HA; maybe a few people in Florida, but not too many others. I'm not predicting such an outcome, but the Marlins are in fist by 2 1/2 games, and TB is only 1/2 game back of the Bosox. Who would have thunk it? Even in mid-May.
HA; maybe a few people in Florida, but not too many othersOr maybe the people who love the sport, and enjoy watching it. I'm a Braves fan, and I'll still watch regardless of who is in it. I understand your point and where you're coming from though....espn seems to believe no one will watch baseball unless it has the Red Sox or the Yankees. Nothing against those teams, I'm not bashing. Just stating espn loses their load over those two.

Couldn't agree more. Isn't it amazing how the Sunday and Monday games on ESPN were both Red Sox vs Twins. Come on you could've put the Indians vs Blue Jays on last night and seen an amazing pitching duel between Cliff Lee and Shaun Marcum. The whole nation is not the "Red Sox Nation" or Yankee fanatics and I just wish they would realize that!!
Back to the all Florida WS, it would be something to see, but I honestly don't think that either team will make it to October baseball this year. I would love to see the Rays do it, but I just don't think they are quite ready yet. The Marlins are loaded with good young talent, but I just think the division they play in will eventually catch up with them.
it really is ridiculous how the Sunday and Monday night game were both the Red SoxTwins. ESPN really is a joke...you gotta love how they will show all of the red sox and Yankees highlights, including a strikeout, a fist pump from joba, a slide to the base, a homerun, and a wild pitch....but when it comes to the other teams, they will show a 10 second highlight, and leave out something huge.
I'm certainly not less likely to watch that match-up than a Sox-Cubs series.
Either you're a hard-core baseball fan and you're going to watch the world series no matter what, or you're a casual fan and if your team isn't involved, you'll maybe watch a game or two if it's convenient. I just don't get why people seem to think fans of other teams would be any more intrigued by certain match-ups. Especially match-ups between teams that the national stations have force-fed us all season long.
I do not think the Marlins will continue this pace and even make the play-offs, but the Rays certainly (I think) have a shot. But if it was a marlins v rays world series I would watch it! Sure I wouldn't watch all of it most likely since my team the Red Sox aren't in it, but I would watch it and I would certainly watch it if its a close series and close games, which I think it would be.
Remember now its not "DR" anymore it is just "R" . But anyway yes I would watch a RaysMarlins WS, I like both those teams they have some good young talent.
