If you are excited for the way the Cubs have played so far this series, take a look at what we will face on Sunday:

Randy Johnson (Career Against the Cubs): 12-0, 1.98 ERA, 95.2 IP, 138 SO. He's also 4-0, with a 1.00 ERA in 36 career innings at Wrigley Field, with 49 strikeouts.

Now yes, obviously most of these starts were made when he was a super stud in Houston and during his first stint in Arizona, but it's still hard to ignore. Johnson has been on and off so far this season, but luckily, we have a guy named Carlos Zambrano to counter him.

Will we see a 1-0 classic? Or can the Cubs turn the tides on Randy Johnson and continue their winning ways at the Friendly Confines of Wrigley Field? I'll be at the relatives' place for Mother's Day, but trust me, the television will be on at 1:20pm Chicago time. GO CUBBIES!!!

(Also, congrats to Greg Maddux on career win #350. He has always been a class act, a true ambassador for the game, unlike some others...)

Regardless of Randy Johnson's record against the Cubs, I like our chances with Zambrano on the mound.  It would be HUGE to sweep the BEST team in baseball.  We needed a series like this.

Randy Johnson is not the lights out pitcher he once was so if the Cubbies stay patient they will get to him. I like our chances for the sweep as long as Big Z is on his game!

Right...as long as the Cubs are patient, expect Johnson to reach 100 pitches in five innings. He will strike guys out, but don't be surprised to see a few walks in there, which may or may not be the difference. But at times this year he's definitely been very hittable.

Just as Carlos Zambrano can be taken from his game with frustration, so goes with Randy Johnson.  I think that at this stage in their careers, Zambrano is the better pitcher. That and the fact that we don't really lose a bat with Zambrano, the man can hit better than a lot of fielders. If the Cubs stay patient at the plate and work the count, Johnson will tire and we'll get to him. I have my broom at the ready

 GO CUBS!!!!
