To me the barometer is the third game in San Francisco. Here is why I will be measuring the Lions closely on this one game. (I am a gambler)
- How well have the lions performed outside the division in the last 5 years. Its ugly. Have they turned a chapter? Come on these are the lowly niners right? Not so fast.
- The Mike Martz effect. Sure the Lions are fired up to beat the old genius. Mike knows where to attack that tampa two, and has a special kind of RB with him. Like him or not Martz knows how to move the ball against a subpar defense, and yes ours is subpar. Bet the media playes up the Martz aspect. If the Lions lose this game what do you think happens to this teams fragile confidence?
- That friggin stadium. Detroit on grass? uggh
- How well will Detroit play from behind, Im telling you these Niners will score points. Like last year will they abandon the game plan and get out of sync. I can tell you I dont think Detroit leads this game wire to wire.
If we arent 3-0 going into the bye week I will be dissappointed. Rod is capable of making out lions, hungry, diciplined and prepared coming out of training camp Its how they handle adversity that will tell me well this team will do this year. This game is my measuring stick.
