I think the key to this game is to keep it close throughout and then bear down in the 4th quarter to put the Jazz away. Utah is inevitably going to come out playing hard and with some real energy - they will undoubtedly not want to find themselves in a big hole, or in foul trouble, early. At the same time, I honestly would prefer not to see the Lakers necessaily jump out to a big lead early and run the risk of settling later on.
I want to see good, solid team defense throughout...I want to see a continuation of the passing game and good shots taken - nothing forced...I want to see Farmar playing some meaningful minutes spelling Fisher in trying to contain D-Will as much as possible...I want to see Pau & Lamar man up on Boozer, Okur and Milsap and get their post up offenses going in a big way...and, finally, as much as I know we haven't seen Kobe dominate a game, I don't know that I necessarily want to see that happen in this game, unless he absolutely has to. Nothing gives me more pleasure than watching Sasha hit big shots while Kobe gets his rest and not allowing the other team to gain an advantage when Kobe is on the bench.
I look to see the Lakers play a solid, fundementally sound, team game tonight on both end of the floor - withstand the Jazz onslaught as best they can (because you know it's coming) - and make their decisive move with about 5 minutes left to play.
Lakers 103
Jazz 95
