Included in this poll are Small Forwards, Power Forwards, and Centers. Whom is the best Forward/Center in the NBA? Barely missing the list were Rockets C Yao Ming (Bosh very narrowly beat him out), TWolves C Al Jefferson, Lakers PF Pau Gasol, Lakers C Andrew Bynum, Nuggets SF Carmelo Anthony, Heat SF Shawn Marion.and Injured Clippers PF Elton Brand. Factored in are Efficiency/48 minutes and Player Efficiency Rankings (both seperate formulas.)

I voted for Kevin Garnett. It was a very tough choice between him and LeBron James. I would have liked to vote for Rasheed Wallace but he isnt even up there "for barley missing the list." Sheed is a great shooter and rebounder. If he didnt play down to his opponents level, he would easily win the MVP every year.

I also think that Tyson Chandler should be up there somewhere.

Crazedrat1,

As I mentioned in response to your other post, this front court question is damn difficult. I spent some time debating it though and have narrowed the field down to four and I will try to put them in some kind of order. The top four for me would be LeBron James, Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan and Dwight Howard. At this point I think Dwight is a fabulous player, but the other three are simply too polished and refined for him to compete, so he would rank fourth. I would put Kevin Garnett third on the list. He's great all-around and I still give him extra bonus points for dunking on me in the Proviso West tournament in HS, but he isn't quite as dominant as Timmy or Lebron.

This is where things get hard. I think Lebron James has the talent to eventually be considered the greatest player that ever lived. I can't think of one flaw in his game and would take him on my team over anyone else in the league today (including Kobe) if he was available. But here's the rub. Tim Duncan is already the greatest power forward in the history of the game. He has 4 rings and I wouldn't doubt if he ends his career with one or two more. So I am going to put Lebron at number 2 and Timmy at numero uno. At least for right now.

Also, I think its worth noting that I think Lebron and Dwight Howard will be the unquestionable 1 and 2 in this category for some time, once Timmy eventually starts the slide. God, I love the NBA.

I gotta say that Dwight Howard is the best front court player cause there aren't many players that could get multiple 20/20 games.
