I don't think any one on this board has or will forget Don Beebe, or anyone on the 96 roster for that matter. You may be barking up the wrong tree with this one.

I heard that. Don Beebe was a crucial cog in the machine that was the '96 Championship Packers. Supposedly Brett gave him the Super Bowl football at the end of Super Bowl XXXI.

I will always remember that Monday Night game against the Niners when Brooks went down, and Freeman was hurt, that Beebe put up 220 something yard recieving that night. One of the most awesome individual performances I have seen. It also confirmed how the Niners were our beyotches back then.

Not sure how many were watching the Packers of the late 70's early 80's, but the only two bright spots in that era were James Lofton and Lynn Dickey. Probably not forgotton but rarely remembered.

Who could forget Don Beebe? I haven't. I still have his jersey. Don really had quite a bit to say about the Packers reaching the Super Bowl, whether it was running a kick for a touchdown or with his receiving yards. He had over 200 yards against the 49ers that year. It's really a shame that the Packers organization didn't appreciate his talent.

Was he the one who was in the Bills four losing Super Bowls? I think that was the reason Favre handed him the ball after the Super Bowl XXXI win.

how about Sean Jones??? He may not have been Forgotten, but he definitely was overshadowed by Reggie White(Most DEs that played with Reggie probably were overshadowed, and for good reason). I always remember him, he was one of my favorite players on that team...

It's funny you should mention that. Don Beebe was with the Bills when they went to four Super Bowls and lost. Don made a play in one of the super bowls. Leon Lett got an interception and was going in for the score and Don not only ran him down and made the tackle (Probably not much of a race but remarkable anyways) but stripped him of the ball at the goal line and the Bills recovered. When Don was signed by the Packers, everyone was like who? Then when reminded of the scenario above, it was like "Oh, That guy... LOL."

Not the only two bright spots. I'd put Paul Coffman up there as a positive in those years. Remember him? He had like 3 pro bowl years in the early 80s.

I gotta put in a vote for my boy Adam Timmerman, the heart and soul of the O-line for our super bowl years.

Yeah the Packers definitely goofed that one. They could afford to sign Adam Timmerman or Earl Dotson, not both, so the Packers decided to sign Dotson. A brief time after getting his contract, Dotson blew out his back and couldn't play football anymore. Meanwhile, Adam Timmerman went on to be an offensive lineman for the Rams Super Bowl team. The Rams are one of my least favorite teams, but when the Rams won the Super Bowl, I was happy for Adam.

Hey Packersgirl, I read that the play with Beebe stripping Lett was right at the end of that game when it was way out of the Bills reach (down 52-17). Speaks volumes about the guys character.
