He has a sore back.  Why not just retire Kent?

Any way, they brought back Bill Bray from AAA to take his place.  Now, when is that Fogg trade going to come down?  That way we can put Arroyo in the bullpen and bring up Bailey.

i can't remember any season for any team ever in the past that involved so many bogus DL stints and players sent packing.  i guess that's what it comes to since krivsky signed so many useless contracts, but it's almost comical to me at this point!  in the end though, i don't care how they manage these details as long as they try to put the best team on the field.  think Bill Bray is here to stay this time?

Bray BETTER be here to stay now. I want something good out of that trade with the Nationals. And, seriously, you think we'll be able to trade Fogg? Really? No one wants him at this point, or Arroyo either. MAYBE down the road if some team is absolutely desperate, we can trade ONE. But for now, they're stuck with the Reds. We can't afford to have TWO washed up starters in the bullpen, not when they're actually pitching good this year. Maybe we put Bailey in the 'pen for a while until we can sort things out? Or maybe we can just make up an injury for Fogg. We'vo done it to everyone else.

Fogg's contract is conditional so if we cut him outright we only have to eat $400k (only... haha...) I still think Arroyo can be successful in the bullpen, but I never was too high on him as a starter. If he can put together some good outings in the bullpen, someone desperate for SP will grab him. Even with his contract, he's probably easier to move than Fogg.

The Rockies were interested in trading for Josh Fogg, and I say DO IT! That way we could get rid of Fogg, put Bronson Arroyo in the bullpen and bring Homer Bailey up in the rotation. It's actually painful to watch Arroyo try to pitch, hitters have figured him out and he knows it. They just foul off his fastball since it only comes in around 88 MPH and sit of the curveball. I'd like to see a % chart of the pitches he throws, I'm guessing he throws his curve around 40% of the time.

Oh man, this is so true... Even when he is looking Okay you know in the back of your mind that he isn't doing that great out there.  The guy throwing grapefruits and batters just tee off on his pitches.  In fact, Bronson is more likely to have a day like Lieber had against us than anything else.  I'm really scared for tomorrows game.
