Bill Bray and Jeremy Affeldt make a good 1-2 punch as left handed pitchers in the Reds bullpen. Cincy should do everything they can to keep these guys up in the bullpen because they're good counters to Jared Burton , Mike Lincoln and Francisco Cordero . As for Mercker, injuries like that are expected when you are as old as he is.

I wondered why Mercker hadn't pitched in awhile. He was doing a real good job, except for one outing.
Hopefully Bray can pitch as well as he did a few weeks ago.
