I dont think Utah has anything for us.  Yeah they are a great home team, but the Lakers beat them in their last reg season meeting Mar 20th 106-95 IN Utah, so as long as the Lakers can weather the initial storm and not get behind by alot, then we should be fine.  If its close in the 4th, its a done deal, pal!!   Love to see other Laker fans opinion, even if you rip me a new one   :)

DodgerBrad, I think you pegged it exactly.  The key to this game is to weather what I'm sure will be a revitalized Utah effort early on, keep this game close throughout, keep our key guys out of any foul trouble, and then make our move in the 2nd half of the 4th quarter.  Oddly enough, the one thing I really would prefer not to see would be for the Lakers to build up a big first half lead and run the risk of letting their guard down a bit in the 2nd half.

If the Lakers win tonight, a sweep is almost a foregone conclusion.

As much as I have so much respect for the Jazz, I do believe that the Lakers can sweep this series.  I'm still waiting for Kobe to play some spectacular basketball in this series.  He hasn't done it since there's no need for it.  Tonight might be the night that we see Kobe push it and go 3-0.  The Lakers know that the series will be over if they win tonight.

In game 2, Williams was shut down in the 1st half because of great defense.  He picked it up in the 2nd half because the defense kind of took a step back, typical of the Lakers all season long. If we keep playing this kind of defensive intensity for the whole 48 minutes, we can sweep this series, no question.

In addition, Vlad Rad and Farmar has not really been a factor these first two games.  Farmar I can understand since Williams is a liitle too much for him.  But let's hope Vlad starts knocking those 3's again and help out with some firepower.

DodgerBrad How do you like your new COACH? Torre is the man!! Anyway I think that we as "LAKER NATION" may just be underestimating the Yazz. They do have some talent and they have played better at home. I know what the regular season record is and so do they. Watching the Spurs game last night reminded me that homecourt does change the game mentally. Its not about favoritizm and refs and all the bulllsh**  the non Laker fans like to blame it on but truly on home court itself. The fans. The noise. Good thing for L.A. that Kobe thrives on the negative energy. You guys are correct in saying that Kobe has not had a HUGE game this series. YET. It may be safe to say that tonight might be the night for the MVP to shut everyone the hell up and kick some Utah ass!! Can I get an AMEN?!?!?!?!??!!??!?!

I certainly think we can sweep Utah will we I don't know. I will say this I think we will at least split with Utah and finish them of in Game 5 at worst.
