Well, finally the Packers have signed two new young CB's to add competition at that position. Condrew Allen (Portland St.) and Kyle Ward (Louisiana- Layfayette) are both 6'1" and 199 lbs. Don't know how good these guys are or how good they might become, but, I'm glad to see that TT has brought in more players to at least push Bush, Williams and Lee.

We also picked up another offensive tackle in Ryan Considine, 6'4" 302 out of Louisiana Tech. You can never have too many offensive linemen.

I think that the Packers are going to have a very talented and deep roster this year. It may not make us forget about our beloved Brett, but, it will help to lessen the pain of his leaving.

Go Packers!

Been doing a little research and it seems that Considine is the better pick up. During his college career he played every position along the offensive line as well as learning long snap duties. We all know how TT likes players that are versatile.

We now have 9 CB's .

We signed a CB last year Joe Porter i wanna see how he is.

We signed him during the middle of the season.

If he stuck around since last year that must mean the coaches see something in him.

I want to see our secondary have less drop-off when and if Harris or Woodson have to come out of a game. I think it's great that they have more competition now. This should be a very spirited training camp.

Good signings. Its great that the corners are above 5'11. I just hope that they are physical and can play the bump n run. But most likely i see this was a signing for them to be on our practice squad unless they can out play Williams, Bush , or Blackmon.

TT's blueprint for building this team has always been creating competition for positions. Signing these guys is just another example of that.
The thing about this philosophy is that it prepares the guys that make the roster for the NFL in two ways. First of all the obvious benefit of players pushing each other physically and secondly, and possibly more importantly, constant competition just to make the team mentally prepares them for the high pressure situations that they will face in real game situations or at least weeds out the guys that aren't mentally strong (given that their physical skills are similar).

I understand TT's philosophy for building a team, but it has to be draining on the players to not know from season to season if there will be a spot for you in September.

i really think that Tramon Willams has a chance to be a really good player maybe even start in a few years....if he could just had some size and master the def. then he could be great....very physically gifted player.

and evreything i have heard about patirck lee has been great....

plus lets not forget about Will Blackmon who still has some potential

BUT the main thing to remember is that BOTH Al Harris and Charles Woodson are still great pro-bowl caliber players....maybe the best tandem in the league...we should have agreat secondary this year with good nickel and dime players and good depth...

Yes... Will Blackmon and Tramon Williams are athletically gifted, but they're becoming more like projects in development rather than guys who can contribute immediately. Especially in Blackmon's case, I really like the guy, but I thought he'd be further along by now.
