It's been 10 years since we've been in the World Series and since that time we have won only 1 playoff game. I don't know why myself or anyone else out there has hope for this team. The Padres have had alot of talent over the last 10 years and have one playoff win to show for. Why anyone believes there's hope for this year is beyond me. Maybe it's not the typical season because we are out of it so early, but the end result will be the same. I believe for San Diego to be successful next season they need to get (3) new outfielders that can hit for power and average, (1) new catcher that can throw out baserunners, turn Heath Bell into the closer, if Prior ends up being successful in the first few months either trade him or trade Chris Young for a power hitter, and maybe move in the fences at Petco 5-10 feet in.
