First off Cobrajack the reason the league doesn't care as much about the Pats taping signals during the 2002 AFC Championship game with the Steelers as they seemed to show with a possible tape of the Pats allegedly taping the Rams SB practice was because the Pats already admitted that they taped game signals over serveral years, but they never admitted taping any practices which would have been a different thing in the eyes of the league.

Second, and for the one billionth time, taping signals is not illegal, the rule the Pats broke was taping from an unathorized location so this ongoing crap about the Pats cheating is just that, crap, they never cheated......unless you think taping from an illegal location like the sidelines somehow makes the tape more valuable than taping legally from a covered area as allowed in the league rules.

Third, the only cheating that went on in the 2002 AFC Championship game was done by the Steelers who obviously paid off the refs to help them win as without the refs help the Pats would have won that game in a blowout.  At least the Steelers got their monies worth out of the refs when they stole the SB from Seattle.

You don't "send in" offensive signals.  The QB has a radio in his helmet to communicate with the offensive playcaller.  No need for "signals".

Do you watch football?

I seen an article on this about a year ago and they interviewed Mr. Rooney about the Patriots videotaping them and he said that it doesn't matter because how can you gauge the out come of the game based on a video tape. He said the Steelers lost and Pats won, so let's move forward and forget about it.

As a Steelers fan I believe in the organization, so if Mr. Rooney feels that way so do I. Let's move forward and worry about the 2008 season. I'm more worried about winning #6 not what happened in the past. Let's go Steelers!

LOL, you owe CanadianPatsFan an apology "xdhoriox" because you are wrong, the Pats are accused of stealing DEFENSIVE signals not offensive signals so your theory is wrong.  Offensive plays are called through the QB's helmet electronically so unless they are somehow hacked they can't be stolen.  The tapes the Pats made were of defensive signals which are relayed by hand gestures from the sidelines to the players on the field. That is why the NFL owners have been considering having defensive signals radioed in just like offensive signals, so that they can't be stolen.  Of course it is all a moot point anyway since stealing signals is not illegal, you just have to do it from an authorized location which the Pats failed to do so they received their punishment for breaking that rule.

xdhoriox it appears to me you are the idiot. Here is an article from September 13th, 2007 which states why he was fined: http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story
/10350336
. To quote the second paragraph of the article "The New England coach was fined the NFL maximum of $500,000 Thursday and the Patriots were ordered to pay $250,000 for stealing an opponent's defensive signals."

Do a little research man. Just use the search button on this website. All the information you need is available. And also, say something original. Belicheat, Cheatriots and Tom Shady weren't clever the first time, and they certainly aren't clever 8 months later.

The Steelers were run by a mob connected family.  Yes, Mr. Rooney had known mob ties, so get off your pedestals. He was far from squeaky clean
