Hey just a curious buckeye fan here wanting to know more about the teams around the big ten. I am hoping for the big ten to re-establish itself as a true power. While I dont buy the crap that the big ten is weak I do know ive seen better days of football for our conference. I have read things saying that PSU, illinois, wisky, and MSU are bringing back pretty good teams and I know OSU is as well, as for michigan i def think they can crack the top 25 depending on how well RR builds the team this summer the talent is still there.. Just hoping for a little input from you all.

Northwestern was a young 6&6 team last year. The coach was young too and lost at least one game for them when he took points off the board. The Sr class was small and no one of any great talent graduated at least no one worthy of a draft choice.

Their offense produced the second most yards in the big ten and the entire back field returns as well as 6 of the top 7 recievers. The defense was even younger and looks to have improved by developing some redshirt freshmen.

The team got more mature with new top notch offensive and defensive coordinators. A move that will make the head coach more confident and able to focus on the things he does best, lead and recruit.

If the new coaching changes don't mess up the chemistry, the schedule lays out very favorably for Northwestern. You could see a very confident 9-0 team meet Ohio St at home.

Most of the offense is back, they are a year older and I do think that they'll win more than 6 and go to a bowl, let's not get ahead of ourselves and say they'll be 9-0 when they play OSU.  It would be awesome to see, but let's be patient.   And YES I am a season ticket holder.

The real excitement for me right now is all the huge linemen thye have landed this year. The future for Northwestern is pretty bright right now. My Dad was the student manager of the team in the late 1930's. Everytime any running back made a big play my Dad would say, "Somebody made a good block". He loved Walter Payton for buying his line men cars. Go Cats!
