basicallyamazin, i will say this..this year, the NFC North will be a much tougher division and one of the best divisions in the league..that is how i see this year panning out and we get to play what I believe as the best division which is the AFC South...our division's will contain 3 top 10 defenses and at the same time will field the worst set of QB's for a division..When Kitna is the best QB in your division, there is an issue
now, for your question as if the Bears are doomed?? you may not follow the bears like most of us, but I am sure you know that we had a very injured defense last year where 5th, 7th round, and undrafted rookies were starting..our dline was never healthy and we had to move a DE in to play on the dline and actually took a DT off the Bengals practice squad (YES THE BENGALS..lol)...that combined with the fact that our oline was the worst in football and Benson was our most solid RB and our QB's were playing ring around the rosie, for us to finish 7-9 is REALLY IMPRESSIVE, no matter how you look at it..
SO, this year, the Bears will come back healthy and with rookies from last year who really stepped up towards the end of the season and will have a top 5 defense...our ST's will be #1 as long as we have Hester..and as long as our offense cracks into the top 20, there is no reason why a 10-6 record isn't achievable..The defense speaks for itself, but how do we get a top 20 offense? That is where our question mark is..We drafted a starting LT, which moves Tait to RT and instantly 2 positions are improved on the oline..Garza is nothing great at RG, but is reliable and St. Clair (usually OT) played LG the last 2 games last year and he improved the oline just by being there, so our oline should come back stronger and much improved...Benson will NOT be starting at RB as there is a new sheriff in town by the name of Forte who possesses great skills and if he achieves what i think he can, Chicago will have another 1000 yard runner
We lost 2 starting WR's, but replaced Muhammed with Booker so that is a huge upgrade..Bradley is a question mark as to whether he will be an upgrade over Berrian..He possesses all the skills but has been injury prone..Brandon Lloyd is playing for his old college coach and should be able to revive his career, but he is also a question mark..Hester is our deep ball threat and is always dangerous with the ball..He should improve from last year..Now, our 2 rookies..Bennett is a young Booker and Booker was the last Bears WR to have 100 catches, so I am excited about that and Monk is a HUGE guy at 6'4" and is probably the 2nd fastest WR on the team who was projected to go 2nd rd last year and his senior year got hurt and his stock fell, so I am excited about seeing what he can do..ALL in all I think the Bears will have a good season, but 2 players need to really make a difference in order for that to happen and that is LT Williams and RB Forte..Rex will improve if he has time to throw the ball and has a running game..He exemplified a great comeback before getting hurt last year so I am excited to see what he does this year..
The Packers and the Vikings will also be up there in wins with the Lions falling behind..Last year we had 13-3, 8-8, 7-9, and 7-9...This year I see 11-5, 10-6, 9-7, and 7-9 or 6-10..
