Look, James is a pretty good dunker with a nice all-around game. And he plays for a pretty bad team so I give him SOME credit. Kobe is the same. Those teams were always headed for the playoffs though.

The MVP is clearly Andre Iguodala. He should also win most improved player and defensive player of the year. You might call him the NBA's triple crown. The Sixers were originally headed for an embarrassing 0-82 season, but he single-handedly turned it around. Legend has it that Andre gathered his misbegotten team of rascals and vagabonds and turned them all from boys into grown men. He fed them courage daily and some said it was like drinking god himself, Andre's words were so bold. It is said that he challenged Lebron, Kobe and Jesus to a game of three-on-one and made them all weep with his brilliance and beauty. He wouldn't have left college early, except he had finished every class and become president of every fraternity and club on campus.

Truly, the game isn't ready for his artistry. Some day he may be appreciated fully. That day is not today.

I'm a Sixers fan so I appreciate the sentiment, but AI wasn't even the MVP of his team.  That belongs to Andre Miller.  When he started off slow, the Sixers were terrible but only when he turned things around did the team really start to flourish.  He's a big point guard so he can't be posted up and he can post up a lot of the smaller guards.  He's not flashy but he's consistent and he has the type of game that won't suffer as much as he gets older.  17 points and 7.5 assists from a point guard.  I'll take that any day.  AI still needs to work on his turnovers and shot selection.

I agree that the MVP should have gone to Chris Paul but because he's only been in the league a couple years, they threw it to Kobe.
