Joey Votto just hit another HR! This is ridiculous! How many HR's is that so far, 6?

And Corey Patterson grounds out to 2nd with runners on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs. Way to get in on the hit parade Corey. Only player without a hit so far other than EE.

GO Joey Votto!!!! Make it a 4 HR game, and I will worship the ground you walk on. Could be best performance by a rookie all year.

geesh, i hate these Cubs announcers.  They are so ignorant.  They're talking about Volquez getting tired and like that's the Cubs chance.  Apparently they haven't seen how much the Reds' bullpen has improved.  I would think they'd do a little more research before getting diarrhea of the mouth about something they don't know what they're talking about.

Volquez rolls again!

if he keeps that up, he'll win the cy young...something no red has ever gotten.

Volquez's ERA is nasty.  He was definitely lights out and even made Lee look like a blind man out there.  Taking two from the Cubs is great but more importantly we may be witnessing the turn around in the season for our Reds.  You've got our guys hitting extremely well, Votto is coming into his own, Volquez and Cueto are pitching well, Harang just needs some run support but he is doing great, Keppinger is holding things down, Dunn is hitting HRs and we haven't even brought up Bailey or Bruce yet.  I hope this is a sign of things to come.

He's really looking extremely proficient out there.  At this point it's not just luck, he's really proving himself as potentially our best pitcher, if not the best pitcher in the game right now.  I agree, if he keeps it up we might have our first cy young winner. Nasty.

Pounding the Cubs 9-0 makes yesterday a distant memory. I don't care what the Reds do all year, just make sure you beat the Cubs! I can't stand them and today has been such a great day! Off day for me, 3 HR by Votto, great pitching from Volquez, and a shutout! I could shoot myself in the foot today, and I wouldn't care...

WE BEAT THE CUBS!!! HECK YEA!!!

I hope this is a sign of things to come.Sadly, this team hasn't shown me they can put together a 6-game winning streak.
That needs to happen. I think it's time to sit Griffey and bring in the Kid from Lousyville.
Bruce may be the difference. Griffey is killing this offense.
