Cincinnati Reds fan here, living in Los Angeles. I like the Dodgers a lot too and am currently watching tonights Dodgers/Astros game, 5-10, and had to come see how much hatred there was for Andruw Jones on the Dodgers message board, and I gotta say........there's not enough for this fat tub of duck grease. This kid is a joke. Not only because he apparently can't lay off of any changeups that are down or sliders, but he has the marbles to say to the press when asked about fans booing him, " I don't have to impress anybody."
Who is this professional wrestling reject look alike fooling? He doesnt have to impress anyone? Did he forget he only has a two year deal? Geez. Andruw Jones is THE definition of an ass clown.
One thing I dont understand after checking out this message board is all the Juan Pierre hate. I dont get it. The kid gets 200 hits per year. Yeah, not all that sexy because of the total abscence of power but damn. He NEVER strikes out. He hits for at least a .280 average every year, steals a ton of bases and you guys hate him? I dont get it.
As far as who should be in the OF for the Dodgers, it would appear obvious, Matt Kemp, Ethier, and Pierre but I gotta say this. My roomate who is a monster Dodgers fan and has been since he was little has been saying since last year, Ethier is the problem child on this team. I know it sounds crazy but read me out.
When Ethier hit the bench this year, the winning streak started for the Dodgers. Ethier is kinda like a baby A-Rod in the sense that he has pretty good numbers but when it counts, he doesnt get much done. Ethier also carries himself a bit like a jackass if you are paying attention. When Torre sat him last week my roomate was like, watch, here comes a Dodgers win streak and sure enough, it came down the mountain.
Anybody else see Ethier as a baby A-Rod?
