The Official "I Hate Andruw Jones" Thread

Any one who has been here for a long time can tell you that I hate Juan Pierre. But the way he is playing, or lack of Jones....its getting time to think about it

I still say give Jones until the end of May. He isnt doing much to prove he deserves to play, but the what if is still there. Come May 31, if Jones is still hitting .150 with a homer...then I will join this.

But be patient, the team is winning. Jones isnt hitting and the team is still winning. And his defense is hard to ignore.

And Pierre is a better LF than CF, for sure. But I also think having Furcal playing like a MVP helps Pierre. Remember last year when Furcal wasnt doing this well? Pierre needs him and Kemp to  protect him.

His bat speed seems slower, he pulls off pitches, can't seem to get to pitches on the outside, yet, so far to me, it's nothing new.  I expected this exactly, well not exactly.  I thought maybe 1 or 2 more home runs, about 10 or 12 more rbi.  Not much more than that though.  He strikes out a lot, we knew that.  He gained weight, we knew that too.  What I didn't expect his how bad his balance is when he swings, that may be a weight issue, or maybe not, who knows?  36 strike outs this year, is alot, but it's only 3 more than he had last year to this same exact date. 

As it is right now, I want to "weight" and see, if at the end of the season he had a bad year, then yeah, I'll jump down his throat.  I just think, or have been conditioned to believe that Andruw Jones is a superstar, and can make this season something good for himself and the team. 

Another thing I wanted to add, was that I think he smiles, or smirks because he is flabbergasted on just how bad his swing is, or that he can't get himself to stay on pitches away to drive them into the right/center gap.  I mean, looking at his swings, it is almost comical.
