You cannot realistically think a guy who has never thrown above single A ball is ready for the bigs. Maybe skip him over AA ball to AAA, but 3 levels is just asking for the kids psyche to be ruined.
Remember that many hitters at the single A level are using wooden bats for the first time. The hitters adjustment period is much greater than that of a pitcher at that level. If you have ever gone from a metal bat to wood, you could understand the adjustment period.
Many pitchers have blown through A ball, only to come to earth a little bit when bumped up a level. Chances are, major league hitter would bash him all over the park at this point.
On another note, just man of us Philadelphia fans, the Phils are 1 game out of 1st and fans are clamoring for change? Jeez, Rollins just came back and Howard's been in a horrible slump. It only get's better from here. They should have re-signed Lohse, that I can get behind.
