I want to disagree with you on that one cornbread, but at the same time, Kimbo's takedown defense obviously hasn't been tested. If he is naturally good at defending it and he has some proper training to polish it, then I think Kimbo would crush Tito. It would be just like Chuck vs. Tito. Chuck is a striker first and his takedown defense and sprawl are basically legendary in the sport. I think Tito would get his big mug rattled a few times then get that deflated look like he did vs. Chuck........twice. I don't think that Chuck really mauled him in either fight, but won convincingly.
Aside from my "Kimbo is bad for MMA manifesto" I could uleash.....He has not fought anybody with any ground game. He has not fought anyone with a winning record....Tito is not Tank Abbott....

I almost died because of this thread. Why would someone think Kimbo belongs in the same cage as Tito? It must be because Shaw tells you he does, because there certinly is no other reason.
You could take an average NCAA HW wrestler who has never been in a cage and I promise you he could take a "streetfighter" or a better way to put it "alley fighter" down and beat the crap out of him every single time.
Its true Tito is at the later end of his MMA career, but isn't he the younger of the two? And I would say he has taken better care of his body over the years.
Who would you say has faced better comp? Which one do you figure starded in martial arts when they was 4 or 5?
Another thing I would like to point out people love to point out sprawl sprawl sprawl sprawl.....A sprawl doesn't work aganst a hip toss or a slid by or duck under. He will be screwed against a wrester!
Honestly I am at a point on these boards that when I see someone make a ludicrous comment about Kimbo I usually think they are just joking so I don't even waste my time commenting.
For the most part, when people talk about Kimbo on this board, they ARE joking (myself included). That could change in a few years, but for now, he needs to train, train, train in order to stand up to any strong fighter that knows the "mixed" part of Mixed Martial Arts.

Tito puts butts in seats, weather he's boring in the cage or not. I could see him fight Kimbo, Fedor...whoever. People, myself included, will watch.
I've never been a Tito fan, but, I feel that he really doesn't get the respect he deserves.... IMHO, he has done more for MMA, by proxy of his place in the UFC when it NEEDED a hero/villan to sell ppv's, than ANY OTHER fighter.... Coutoure, Chuck, Wandy, Fedor included......with maybe the exception of Royce Gracie.

I would love to know how many of you guys that claim to hate Tito have ever been in a fight. I'm quite sure most of you are die hard, living off some high school fight you won story, beer belly, self proclaimed experts of the game. There is no possible way you can hate any of these guys except maybe Ken Sham, his arrogance takes so much away from his legacy. Now with all that said Tito is an animal, Karate man falls. For those of you that know anything about actually being in a fight, all it will take is ONE hard hit to get this guy to act right.
