Berkman's always put up good numbers, and he is not a loud mouth self promoting jerk . I think all baseball fans can get behind a guy like that. Will he be MVP? I can't say no ... I think he'll suffer because of his team's record. But Lance can play for me anytime ... he's a gamer.
I'm a Cardinals fan, and Carinals fans genuinely dislike Astros, but I'm a big fan of Lance Berkman. The man is impressive. It's gonig to be interesting to see who starts at first at the All-Star game, because we all know Albert Pujols will keep up the good work.
Let's not forget that DLee is still hitting around .350 too. And Prince will undoubtedly heat up. There are a lot of good choices for All-Star 1B coming out of the NLC
Berkman has been on my keeper league for 3 years now and I know for certain he's usually lousy to have Apr-Jun and one of the best to have Jul-Sep. Thanks to Berkman, I'm in first right now. If he can put an entire season together, he's quite capable of winning a batting title, RBI title and league MVP.
Well, the Nats turned him around tonight and made him bat righty. Now he's only 2-3 with a single and a homer... That pop-out ended his eight-AB hitting streak.
Intentional walk with a man in third and one out. A wise decision, Manny. Despite the fact that it brings up Carlos Lee, who broke the single-season sac fly record last year. Where art though, '07 Carlos Lee? I don't like the hitter you've become.
