that Chipper has a good eye for balls and strikes.-nuthin

Indeed.  If there was a list of players who had the best sense of the strike zone, Chip would be in the top five.  With someone like chipper's credibility too the umpires respect his eye.  When a ball is close and could be called either way and chipper doesn't flinch; 9 times out of 10 the umpire is going to call it a ball simply based on the mere fact that chip didn't even offer at the pitch.

chipper is a very patient hitter and so far this year he only has 10 strikeouts and thats amazing so he is able to walk a lot due to the fact that he is a very patient hitter and will take a lot of pitches and work the count deep so he will get walked a lot....but if they are intentionally walking Chip then its their own fault for having to face Big Tex and as soon as he gets hot they will be an unstoppable duo of switch hitting 3 and 4 hitters...i can only imagine what will happen wen chip tex french and Mac start goin on their tears at the same time could be in line of a very promising season baby.... 2 more walks in tonight's game against the Pirates.  I guess teams may be starting to realize that Tex is not hitting the ball well just yet and Chipper is out of this world thus far.
