Yea, well, the Penguins relish the role of "favorite."  At a certain point, the favorite becomes well aware that many see the "underdog" as the potential winner.  Philly is no longer the kind of underdog that they may have been the last 2 series, because they have shown themselves to stack up against the "elite."  How about the Penguins' 8-1 playoff record coming into this series?  Biron will need to be super-stellar again for the Flyers to win.

The Flyers are going to beat up the week a$$ pens!  Who cares what the Penguins record is in the playoffs, you played week a$$ teams because the Pens ducked us in the first round.  You don't want to play us and now we will make Crosby cry!!!!  Richards is going to dominate this series.  Flyers in 5 just like we did to the 1st seed Habs.  Pens are scared...When is the last time you beat us in the playoffs?

Ur a dumba$$!! We didnt duck you! We were smart. One seeds win nothing in hockey. And while you've been playing physical games and a seven game series, we were smart and took the lighter path to get some wins, experience, and confidence for our young team. A brilliant move for the Pens. And if you forgot, we would've kicked the Flyers' a$$e$ in the series finale if we 1. cared    2. played Crosby and 3. yea if we cared!!! You  guys played like ur season was on the line and only won 2-0 against a Crosby-less Pens team. We would've scored at least 3 on the 8 power plays you gave us in that last game if Crosby was playin and IF WE CARED!!!! Pens in 5!!!

LMAO... are you serious???  First off, you totally tanked the last game of the season on purpose because you were SCARED of the Flyers.  Hence you ducked them in the first round.  Second, the name of the game is to win.  If you win the most, you're the one seed.  Detroit is doing pretty good so far I think.   Third, everyone else on your great team played that day except Cindy, and they blanked you.  Maybe if Cindy plays you get one.  So the Flyers still win.  The Penguins are a great team and they will probably win, but this series is going seven.  To think otherwise is very short-sighted.  I mean the Flyers did take 5 of 8 from you and they're playing better now than they have all season.

the Flyers won the season series 5-3 which was pretty close.. but i believe 2 of those three came during the middle of the season, when we were the worst team in the nhl for those few weeks.. but as the record stands, when this team does play hard, we kicked your a$$ when we cared

i forgot to say.. they care now, so im taking Flyers in 6 or 7, and not because im a homer.. dont get me wrong though, there im not definitely saying they will win the series.

The Flyers got away with being the most penalized team in the first 2 rounds. If that continues,  they have no chance.  Unlike the Habs, the Pens will score on the power play, and unlike the Caps, the Pens have a great pk.  That and they limit their own penalties.

Sure, the Flyers won the season series against the Pens, so did the Sens and Rangers.

Both teams are playing well right now, I just don't see an a$$ whipping for either team unless the Flyers continue to take penalties.

I hope the talk continues about how the Pens were too scared to play the Flyers. It really just gives more bulletin board material for the Pens. If I recall, the Flyers had 1 more shot than the Pens that game, didn't look like they were trying too hard either. I think both teams were trying to get out of the last game injury free as both teams were already securely in the playoffs. The second to the last game of the series was probably the most physical and the Pens didn't look scared in that one. Also, if Sid is scared of playing the Flyers, I wish he was just as scared against the other teams because he seems to do pretty well against the Flyers and Geno has been as well.

In all honesty, I think two teams in the East matched up well with Pittsburgh: the Rangers and Flyers. Both have solid rosters, with Philly having better offense and the Rangers a better goalie, but the Pens took care of the Rangers pretty easily. If Philly has a chance in this series, they need to punch the Pens in the mouth and win game one, otherwise I don't like their chances.
