tonight we start a 3 game series against the Blue Jays...andy sonnanstine goes to the bump for the Rays.....the jays have been pitching unbeleivably lately...hopefully they have gotten it all out of thier system and our bats are going to come around...it was nice to see Carlos Pena hit another bomb...we seriously need to get the top of the order going because Jason Bartlett is finally showing signs of life from the nine hole...i think base stealing is going to be a big factor if the rays want to be succesful in this series......

What a bad call at home by Brian O'No-ra.  Are these umpires seeing the same game the rest of us are viewing? It would help if Mr. Mellow, Joe Maddon, would complain a little more vociferously.  It might help to get future close calls.

Go Rays!!

I'm not so concerned with Pena hitting another bomb as much as I am seeing him cut seriously down on the strikeouts and boost that .200 average.  Seems to me that he is really swinging hard at everything, try to get HRs every AB.  It would be great to see him shorten the swing and hit the ball up the middle to help defy the shift.  We definitely need some stronger starting pitching than we had in Boston though.

I can't wait til Carlos goes on the DL.  I'm getting so tired of this "slump".  The guy is hurt!  His Hammy is so jacked up and bothering him it's not even funny.  It has messed his swing up so much.  I see when Cliff comes off the DL this weekend Carlos is going there to get that leg strait.

Put Pena on the DL move Hinske to first and Haynes in Right and we would still have a solid line up on the field. This year we actually have options and it is really nice to watch.
