What's the local buzz on A-Rod's injury?  The only speculation I have seen is on ESPN.com, which stated he could be out until the all-star break!  Is this true and if it is, is Morgan Ensberg the answer at 3B for the next two months?

The last that I heard was that A-Rod was going to be back at the end of his 15 days. There has been no speculation, that I know of, that he is going to be out any longer then that. However, if he was due to be out longer, I do not think that Morgan Ensburg is the answer. Wilson Betemit should be back very soon, and would much rather see him out there. Ensberg has not been overly impressive at the plate so far this season.

Last I heard was that he's suppose to be back on the 16th for the start of the series against the Mets

I heard this from a friend of a friend who interns at the NY Post.  Not sure how relaible this is.

Let's hope it's not true, because Morgan Ensberg  is not he answer at 3rd base for the Yankees.

He will be back the day after his 15 day DL stint. Posada, not sure.

I wish I could tell you where I read this but, the plan is for A-Rod to play 2 rehab games in Trenton on Monday and Tuesday and then re-join the team Wednesday.  He would DH Wednesday and take it from there.  Let's hope he comes back as last year's A-Rod  and not the one that has started this season.

I saw on Espn that he could play today if he wasn't on the DL. The Yankees did the right thing though, when it comes to muscles, it's best to over rest than rush back.

Please disregard my earlier post about Trenton.  It appears A-Rod will now rehab in Tampa and join the team for the series against the Rays.  That makes more sense.

I saw that he cannot come off the DL for another seven days or something. I have no clue when he went on it.

He will get a MRI Monday or Tuesday before getting into games in Tampa. Jorga, Hughes, and AROD will fly down to Florida today after the game to start rehabbing.

Interesting that a day after I posed the question, the news starts flooding in about A-Rod.  I've heard the same as you others.....rehab in Tampa, play in two single-A games, and then rejoin the team on May 14th when he is eligible to come off the DL.
