That's niot a good thing tho cuz the Yankees always have a high powered offense and sub par pitching.  The Tigers are my favorite team in teh AL but they need to get some solid pitchers. It's going to be too hard to win games in October when your pitching staff is giving up 6 to 8 runs.  The offense isn't going to put up 9 runs a game.  For the tigers to have a chance at a title this year they're gonna need verlander to pitch a lot better than he is now and add another solid arm or maybe even pick up Porcello for the last couple months of the year.

good luck i hope to see a tigers and Dodgers world series

The Comparison to the Yankees may be off. The Tigers are looking like the current Yankees, not the successful ones of the past.

The hitting should become more consistent as the season goes on and hopefully Guillen starts to field. I doubt Porcello will be called up at all this season. He isn't ready yet.

The solution to the Tiger's rotation is already on the roster. All of the starting pitchers can pitcher better than they have. Just look at their performances of the last couple seasons for proof. Chuck Hernandez needs to get work with them on mechanical problem, game planning, and possible arm problems. I don't think Chuck has done his job this year so far and the Tiger's record is paying for it.

We're in a major funk right now, but the bat's will heat up and we will have Zumaya back and he will help the bullpen. Our starting pitching need's some help from our pitching coach though. We will get it together and get on a roll.

The Tigers were rolling until they hit Minnesota to play the Twins.  They arent playing as well as thiy can and the starting pitching has to do better.  No one is taking the control of the AL Central and the Tigers wil be in the race.

It's pretty sad that as bad as the Tigers are playing they still are close in the AL central. It's still early in a long season but I'm getting sick to my stomach watching this game against the Red Sox. ONE freaking hit! I'd hide my face in shame if I were in that line-up lately. It's tough to stay positive as a fan so I can't imagine what it's like in the clubhouse. Let's all hope they get that rectal-cranial operation and start playing some ball.

Yeah, wouldn't it really suck to be the Yankess and make the playoffs 13 straight years even with expensive and flawed teams?
