Now granted the biggest probably was the one that went in favor of the Rockies, not at all denying the Cardinals got hosed on that one.  But they then blow 2 calls, one On Yorvit where the replay showed clear as daylight the ball hit the dirt, and granted it was fairly close but I say Torrealba got him at the plate. Flippin Pujols! Of course if Fuentes could have gotten just one more strike up 0-2 that wouldn't have mattered! Still, the rockies had their chances, and wouldn't you know it, the game ends on a  freakin DP!!! I am really getting sick of chances to tie or take the lead being lost to DP's!!!  So let me guess, next time Cook pitches, it will be his fifth straight start he will be looking to snap a 4 game skid!  Hopefully not, or we will have last place clinched by the end of May.   Ok, done venting and ranting.

Pujols totally faked out the Rockies. He is standing at 2nd base after his double acting like he tweaked his back. Then he takes off stealing 3rd and scored on the grounder to second. You are right on Torrealba's foul ball it did hit the dirt first. Hurdle should have asked the umpire to look at the ball. Tough one to lose...eerrrrr

My question is: Who made the call on Torrealba's ball?  If it was home plate umpire, Bob Davidson, he has never gotten a close call right.  He definitely missed the 8th inning call on Molina, which was to the Rockies benefit.

The Rockies need to start hanging on to leads; it's beginning to creep into their psyches.

Go Rockies!!
