Ok, I gotta keep it real people.

2 games in a row Corey Patterson has played pretty damned well.

Today with a bunt hit, a stolen base, and is 2 for 2 coming in for the injured Jeff Keppinger.

He went 4-5 yesterday with 2 runs and an RBI.

Batting average up to .239.

Just keeping it real. Nice work Patterson. You have been granted a temporary stay from hot dogs to the head. Just in time too.

sorry,  huge sidebar coming up...  I was reading this thread while watching the Rangers/Mariners and Hamilton just made an absolutely amazing catch going into the wall, then makes a one hop throw to first to almost get the runner going back to first.  I don't regret the trade, seeing what we got, but damn!!!  he's having a great year!  I'm glad to seeing him doing well.

What Corey Patterson did wrong today was not get injured in the place of Keppinger.  He better step it up now for real.

gotta say "ouch" to this train of thought. We want Corey to excel, if indeed he is to be in the lineup. No more injuries, please.

I don't want them to both be hurt but if someone was going to get hit in the knee I would rather it have been Patterson.  He wouldn't have left as gaping a hole in our line-up.  I really hope he is turning it around though because we need all hands on deck now.  Everyone on this team has to start playing to their potential.

As I think I stated in the Heads Up Reds Fans thread, I am declaring this What Did Corey Patterson Do Wrong Today Thread, officially dead. He's gonna play for us, he's got to do well, so we might as well cheer him on and anything he does that is stupid or costly, we blame on Dusty instead of Patterson.

Time to get positive Reds fans after Kepp's unfortunate injury. We can still do this. In the words of mary J Blige..."Where's my furcoats and diamonds, bitches..."
