Actually I am very happy not to be #1.  Got to work on SI next.

The point to all this madness isn't whether the SEC is better than the Big 10 lately (that's obvious) but that Dodd is a doofus for ranking several Big 10 teams and then ripping tOSU's conference strength.  That's crazy.

Also, am I the only one that doesn't think Kansas AND Missouri will be top 20 teams this season?  That seems like a stretch to me.

so...let me get this straight: you count the title that LSU shared with USC as a FULL title, yet you count UM's '97 title as only "1/2"? you mention how Auburn got the "shaft" in 2004, yet no mention of Penn State getting the shaft in 1994? selective memory much? I understand researching must be tough; your eyes must still be overworked from watching the maize and blue blurs created by UM players running around your super speed gators this past January. I can't say I blame you.

your completely wrong it is as soft as my pillow in the grand scheme of college football they only have one viable bcs team ohio state the comparison of osu is to the san antiono spurs good but not flashy enough to win then after them you have the second best team as Illinois which is a joke michigan is two years away at best and anybody else is 2 steps backs however i do expect penn st and prudue to have soild years they just lack long depth their are soild teams but they dont match a conference like the sec where their are 4 or 5 viable bcs teams all but vanderbilt and ole miss are gimme games here and they could scare a team if their off. big 12 has 3 or 4 bcs teams and the only gimme hear is iowa state Lastly ill skip the pac 10 and acc and go to big east which is right on par with the big ten if pitt plays well like they should  it is a conference that is 6 deep while the big ten is  maybe 5 Im not ragging the big ten or anything becuase i grow up in big ten country i love its football Michigan is my favorite team im just saying you have to be realistic about  how good it  is and its been on a  slide lately the days of  big  ten supremacy have passed liked the original  college option fsu and miami domiance and woody and bo rivariy games

Illinois...who was a team comprised of mainly freshman and sophomore right Gator?  Give them time.  They pulled quite the W-L swing last year.  Don't be so quick to judge, especially if your team was beaten by a "subpar" Michigan team.

Answer me this, why do all of you sorry a** SEC fans live in the past.  My god move on already.  This is going to go on all year.  SEC fans talking about past accomplishments.  OK LSU beat OSU in the title game.  Congratulation LSU you guys played a great football game and your talent really stepped up in the national spotlight.  Flordia, you guys beat OSU because troy smith crumbled like a little girl and you guys continually capitalized on it all game.  You played smart football for all 4 quarters.  No there, i have given the SEC props can we move on now.  You do know this is a new year right.  Even if OSU doesn't make it to the title game or if they do and win/lose to an SEC team when the game is over, so begins a new yesr.  Can we please move on already my lord this is getting old.  Every year it's the same crap with you people.

haha please.  if most teams played osu's schedule,or if they were in their conference,  they could be in contention to go to a national championship game every year. osu has it made, and yet they still can't come up with the big win

Actually I love when SEC teams beat the crap out of TUOS it makes me laugh. Also SEC fans where do you even come up with Talking trash to Michigan ? We have a winning record against the SEC and the only times I can recall that we lost to SEC teams was Tenn when they had Witten and Auburn I believe. Florida we beat your speed team in your own backyard. I mean Morgan Trent ran down Harvin like it was nothing and our TE Butler blew past your D .That game should have been a blow out for Michigan but Hart who never fumbles gave away 2 scores inside the 5 yd line.Talk away everyone see you in 2 years in the BCS again . Michigan will be the fastest team in the country and if you don't believe me check out our recruits for 08 and 09 so far...

let me get this straight: you count the title that LSU shared with USC as a FULL title, yet you count UM's '97 title as only "1/2"?Fair enough....although when Michigan got their half it was still acceptable for different agencies to offer their own NCs. But in the BCS format, the AP was supposed to give their's to the winner of the BCS NCG. But when the AP stuffed their heads up their a$$es and offered it to USC, the BCS had to make special rules to keep it from happening again. Which tells me one thing....it wasn't supposed to happen in '03.

you mention how Auburn got the "shaft" in 2004, yet no mention of Penn State getting the shaft in 1994? selective memory much?
Sorry, in 1994 I was a senior in HS and didn't care about much beyond what girl I was going to try and score with that weekend. Sorry if my knowledge of PSU is shaky before 1995.

I understand researching must be tough;Yeah, because when I Google National Champions, I see 6 for the SEC, and 1 1/2 for the Big 10 in the last 20 years. So it's tough for me to look at every site on the internet to find any little arbitrary fact, such as PSU getting hosed. That's your job. I'm
